Content blocks
The content block is a titled panel — image or icon, copy, an optional link and link list — laid out in a grid.
What it is
A content block is a titled panel with an image or icon, a short piece of copy, an optional “view more” link, and an optional list of links. Content blocks sit in a grid, so several line up side by side.
Example
A row of content blocks in a grid.
How to add it
Content blocks live in a grid, so add a grid first:
- Add a Grid and set its item type to Content block.
- Add a content block to the grid, then fill in its title and copy.
- Add more content blocks so they line up in a row; the grid keeps them even.
Configure it
Title
The content block's heading — a few words naming what it links to.
Copy
A short line or two of body text under the title.
Image or icon
A picture at the top of the block, or an icon (turn on “Image is icon” for a small brand icon instead of a full-width image).
An optional link (the whole block links to it). Set the link text and where it goes.
Links
An optional list of links shown in the block — add link items, or a listing that fills itself from a query.
Image position
Show the image Above the content, or hide it.
Tips
Keep the copy short and the titles parallel — content blocks are scanned quickly in a row, so consistent length and tone read best.
Use icons for a set of simple, related links; use images when each item benefits from a distinct picture.
